The Next Time You Hear Someone Talk About Looney Tunes Wallpaper Don’t Assume It’s Something Someone Wants On Their Bedroom Walls.
Did your kid just say that he wanted Looney Tunes wallpaper? wait a second, before you rush out and redecorate his room you’ll want to ask yourself, how old is your kid? And logically, would a teen want Looney Tunes wallpaper?
Recently our family experienced a communications melt down due changes in terminology and the gap in generations. My thirteen year old daughter is going to spend the summer with my mother. This will allow her to do a babysitting job for my mother’s neighbors. It also keeps me from worrying about what she is doing while I am at work. My mother wants to make sure that her granddaughter is happy and that she enjoys the room that she will be sleeping in for the summer. My mother over heard my daughter talking to her friend about wanting to get looney tunes wallpaper. My mother knew that I had decorated my daughter’s nursery in looney tunes wallpaper, so she thought my daughter wanted her room decorated this way again.
My mother loves to surprise people so she went out and purchased looney tunes wallpaper and had a friend help her hang it in the bedroom my daughter would be using for the summer. She went with the complete theme of a looney tunes wallpaper border as well as sheets and comforter. She was so proud of the room when she threw opened the door for my daughter and I to see. My daughter said thank you to her grandmother than left the room to have a cookie in the kitchen. My mother was disappointed in the lack of enthusiasm. I asked her why she had gone with the looney tunes wallpaper theme. She told me that she had over heard my daughter talking about wanting looney tunes wallpaper. This surprised me because my daughter’s taste had out grown the looney tunes wallpaper in the nursery by age 3.
When I was alone with my daughter I explained that grandma had over heard her talking on the phone about wanting looney tunes wallpaper. At first my daughter was huffy because she felt she had no privacy when talking on the telephone, but once she cycled through that crisis, as only 13 year olds can, she started laughing. I asked her what was so funny and she said that she had told her friend that she wanted looney tunes wallpaper, but she meant on her computer screen. This struck me funny as well. We went and explained to my mother about computer wallpaper. My mother has never owned a computer and had no idea that there was such a thing as looney tunes wallpaper for a background. My mother stated she learned two lessons through this situation. Do not eaves drop on other’s telephone conversations and that computers can have looney tunes wallpaper.
