A few months ago, I was having some remodeling work done in my kitchen. It wasn’t a big job, and the contractor was in and out in a matter of days. A short time after the work was completed, I noticed a couple of problems with the tiling that the contractor installed. Some tiles had already loosened quite a bit, and the whole thing was noticeably uneven. I tried calling the contractor to come back and fix the problems, but he refused. He insisted that he had done a quality job and that the damage must have been from something I had done. I wasn’t just going to accept this answer, so I decided to take him to small claims court.

Okay, so maybe it wasn’t forced on you, but you did need the credits to graduate. One of the big ones for me was learning a foreign language.

One of the best gifts you can give your children is a love of reading. Children who begin to read at an early age tend to carry a love of reading straight through to adulthood. Children who love to read often do better in school due to the fact that reading any type of book will be easier for them. Textbooks may not be as much fun to read, but it will be easier for a child who loves to read to get through their assignments. The best way to get your child started is to buy books for children at an early age.

Music is closely tied to memory and it can be a great teaching tool for some. Children songs can be found almost everywhere and these same tunes can be used as a learning device in classrooms as well. The nature of music makes it the perfect vehicle for triggering memory. These triggers can be planted in children songs and used for powerful learning strategies.
