Over the years, computer databases have made available stock images to everyone. It used to be that large data services would keep millions of stock images on file for use ion newspapers and magazines. Well not anymore.

My grandmother and mother are both quilters. I love looking at the works of art that each have created over the years. My sister and I decided that we would like to learn how to quilt to keep this tradition alive in the family. Our mother makes very elaborate appliqué quilts. We knew that we did not want to start with something that complicated. We went to a fabric store together to find quilting patterns for beginners. The sales clerk suggested that we start with a patchwork quilt. This would be less difficult and also less expensive.

Some of my fondest childhood memories revolve around Looney Tunes images. Bugs Bunny was a staple in our home. My brother and I spent countless hours watching Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Elmer Fudd along with the other crazy cartoon characters. We were entertained by these characters for years and years and I find it very difficult to believe that the cartoons are no longer being aired.

My favorite thing to do when I’m bored and have extra time to surf on the internet is to download new desktop images to decorate my screen. It has really become an obsession of sorts, as I regularly will spend hours looking for varied desktop images to improve my computer’s appearance and my own moods.
