It seems like there are always so many things to do when you own your home. There are the basic housekeeping tasks to keep up with and also the constant minor repairs to keep everything in good working order. We have found that as we replace items in our home we are always looking for ways to decrease the amount of time we have to put in to maintain the new items. One of the best time savers we found for keeping the bathrooms clean and sanitary is installing shower doors.

My husband is a remodeling contractor. I make my living as an interior designer. This combination allows us to do some work together on remodeling jobs. We both agree that remodeling bathrooms is the project we least like to do. The reason is that in remodeling bathrooms there are so many variables, even though it is the smallest room in the home.

When I was a kid, my bedroom used to be a place I slept in or was sent to if I’d been naughty. It had a bed, wardrobe, a set of drawers and a chair. When I reached my teens, I was allowed to put up a few posters. These days, children’s bedrooms are big business. There’s a whole industry in designing furniture, rugs, murals, wallpaper, and bedding. Philosophy and child psychology are also a part of it.
