Balancing Your Personal And Professional Life As A Working Mom

February 16th, 2007 10:43 AM by Rhyss

The working mom is not by any means new to our society. Women have been in the workforce for as far as you go back in history, but in our generation it is quite common to find women who are also mothers in the workforce. Whatever the reason for this may be – increased standards of living or increased numbers of single mothers or something else entirely – working mothers are finding new and intuitive ways of finding supports.

Careers With Animals, Your Work Won’t Feel Like A Job At All.

February 15th, 2007 3:27 PM by Rhyss

What would be the ideal career for you? I am talking about the job of your dreams. I think for me it would be to write films. Of course I would want to be able to dictate what actually stays in the script, but that would probably mean producing and directing the film as well. The screenwriters are sadly at the bottom of the food chain. Oh well, don’t feel sorry for them. They get paid a lot of money. Anyway, that’s my perfect career, so what is yours? Maybe you would like to have a private work environment where you’re never disturbed. Or maybe you’re searching for careers with animals, as opposed to dealing with humans on a daily basis. I can definitely understand this. People can be rather irksome at times. Especially ones telling you what to do. Catch my drift?

Believe It Or Not, A Perfect Match In Lip Gloss.

February 7th, 2007 3:25 PM by Rhyss

A few years back, I went on a blind date that a friend had set up for me. I was a nervous wreck and it showed. I was supposed to meet him at a nice local restaurant and spotted him as soon as I arrived. I was walked very nervously up the sloped sidewalk when I stumbled. I caught myself, but my adorable tiny purse wasn’t so lucky. It fell to the ground scattering its contents all over the sidewalk. I was mortified. The gentleman that he was, he came down to help me. Luckily, I didn’t have anything embarrassing in my purse but I did have five tubes of lip gloss.

An Honest Look At The Good And The Bad That The Working Women Go Through.

January 31st, 2007 5:27 PM by Rhyss

It’s tough being a woman these days. We wanted female emancipation, but did we really get it? It appears that all we gained was the right to do two jobs. One at home and one in the work place. Working women get a bad press if they have kids. The reality is that most women have to work in order to pay the bills. I don’t want to bash the entire male population, far from it. A lot of men pitch in with child care and household chores. A lot don’t.

What kind of body do you want? Are you striving for that super-man physique that forces all the females to turn their heads or are you satisfied with an average flabby American figure? The truth of the matter is rather obvious if you ask me. We all want the “killer bod,” but only some of us are willing to work for it. These are the individuals who want it the most. Which category do you fall into? It’s totally up to you. I for one want to be in shape and stay in shape for the rest of my life. Now, this doesn’t mean that I’m hitting the gym for 4-6 hours a day to be like the Hulk. However, it does mean that I exercise five days a week for a mere hour each day. This is only five hours out of my entire week. Think about that. Since I’m a guy, I like to lean a tad more toward the muscle building routines.

January 30th, 2007 5:14 PM by Rhyss

One of the biggest concerns on a construction worksite is health and safety regulations, and keeping up to code with them.
