much as there are people out there looking to lose weight, there
are just as many hoping to gain weight and not look as skinny as

Step
1: You must eat to gain weight

However
you don’t want to eat any kinds of foods that you can get
your hands on. Plan what you are going to eat. The food that you

want to have at least 3 meals a day with snacks in between. Most
of the times we think its ok to skip a meal or 2 but if you want
to gain weight fast, you’d better stop skipping those meals.
What you want to achieve here is to be eating as much as possible
with 2 and a half to 3 hours intervals between your meals and snacks.
An
easy way to start eating is to increase the volume of what you usually
eat. Increase your normal portion size by taking an extra scoop
of pasta or adding extra bananas to your breakfast cereal. Also
remember to eat nutritious foods that are high in calories. Examples
are whole-grain breads, vegetables such as avocados and potatoes,
kidney beans, lean red meat, poultry and fish. Step
2: Exercise is important for weight gain
Most people exercise to get thinner and to lose weight. But just
because you want to gain weight doesn’t mean that you should
avoid exercise altogether. Exercising right will help you turn all
those fatty foods and into pure muscles. As muscles are heavier
than fat, you will inevitably gain weight.
During
the weight gain process, it is suggested that you work out three
times a week. Focus on the major forms of exercise such as squats,
deadlifts, bent-over rows, chin-ups, bench press, & military
press. These are the exercises that will help in your weight gain
and turn those calories into muscles.
Don’t
bother with lateral raises and step ups. What you need are the multiple-joint
lifts that will shock your system and stimulate your body into growth.
Focus on getting strong by adding a small amount of weight each
workout. If you focus on strength, size and weight will follow.
Step
3: Weight gain supplements
As much as you would like to gain weight quickly and naturally,
supplements and pills do help. It is not an urgent need but think
of it as the icing on the cake, a finishing touch to add to your
eating and exercising in your quest to gain weight fast.
