Correct
& fix your golf slices without starting to hook!
Some
useful golf slice tips to correct & fix your golf hooks &
slices:
- Technically speaking, the slice is caused by golf club face
angle at impact. In order to cure a slice or a hook, you will
need to square the club face at point of impact.
-
Slices are also caused by an "over the top" golf
swing; that is, a swing that approaches the ball on outside-to-inside
swing path.
- There is no miracle instant-cure to help you correct your golf
slice. Instead it is recommended that you head to the driving
range to hit a few buckets while practicing a few basic tips.
- Remember to keep your alignment closed. Check frequently where
you are aiming and where you actually hit the ball. A divot can
tell you a lot
- To fix or correct your golf slice, try putting the ball back
in your stance.
- To cure a golf slice, take a strong grip (your leading hand
- the top hand on the club - should be turned a little more to
the inside). This should hopefully keep the club face closed on
impact.
- The swing that should help you avoid slicing is the golf swing
that swings from the inside-out.
- Remember though that if you try too hard to cure your golf
slice by having too strong a leading hand, you could end up with
a hook. Neither a hook or a slice are desirable in the game of
golf so practice makes perfect.
