cholesterol, reduce cholesterol
How
to have lower cholesterol levels by following the right diet. No
medication or drugs required! Heart
disease is the leading killer of both men and women after the age
of 45 and high cholesterol is responsible for 70% of heart disease
cases. There are medications and drugs available which help lower
your cholesterol, but apart from that, there are actually natural
steps to help lower your cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart
disease.
- Start taking note of what you eat. The food you eat really affects
your cholesterol levels. If the foods that you usually take are
high in fat it will affect your cholesterol level. And we don’t
mean in a good way.
- Lower your intact of fatty foods such as coconut oil, whole
milk, butter, lard and poultry skin just to name a few. Just by
doing this, you will effectively reduce your cholesterol.
-
Exercising can also help you reduce and lower your cholesterol
levels as well as your blood pressure.
-
Go vegetarian. Not totally of course. But having a few meals
without meat in a week can also help lowering your cholesterol
levels.
- Change the way you cook your food. Consider using healthier
oil such as olive oil or canola oil. Eating foods that aren’t
fried can also help reduce cholesterol levels.
- Fruits and vegetables should be a staple part of your diet because
they are low in fat. Apart from helping you lower cholesterol
levels, eating fruits and vegetables can also benefit your body
because they are high in vitamins and minerals.
- If you have been diagnosed with a heart disease then it is probably
better or even necessary to consume the proper medication and
drugs prescribed by your doctor to keep your cholesterol levels
in check.
